SENIOR HOUSING COMMUNITY COMMITTEES

   

  • The Executive Committee serves as the primary point of contact, under the direction of Pastor Washington, for the oversight of the Reid Temple Senior Housing Community initiative. The committee members are responsible for advising and informing the Pastor of all meetings, content and subsequent actions. In addition, the committee develops and makes presentations to the Official Board, congregation and other individuals or groups at the request of Pastor Washington. For more information, contact Bro.   • The Program Management Committee is responsible for oversight and management of the strategic design and development of the Reid Temple African Methodist Episcopal Church Senior Housing Community. The Committee manages the bidding process including documentation and constructability review, bidder prequalification, bid evaluation, and award, and tracks program requirements.   • The Land/Use and Real Estate Committee conducts the pre-development through occupancy of the Reid Temple African Methodist Episcopal Church's Senior Complex. The Committee assists in identifying and evaluating potential development partners and liaisons with designers, engineers, contractors, local code officials, and other various government entities. The Committee will also advise in the development of general real estate goals, criteria, parameters, market trends, valuation, and. The Land/Use Committee Chairperson is Ms. Gina Macklin.   • The Marketing and Communication Committee leads Reid Temple African Methodist Episcopal Church's efforts to broaden awareness of the Senior Housing Community initiative. The Committee spearheads activities that increase visibility of the Senior Housing Community to key stakeholder audiences, such as Reid Temple members, donors, volunteers, leaders, community and governmental officials with the goal of targeting key constituencies and increasing exposure.   • The Facilities Committee serves as the primary overseer of the Reid Temple African Methodist Episcopal Church Senior Housing Community buildings and grounds and manages the upkeep of equipment and supplies. The Facilities Committee Chairperson is Mr. Howard Hawkins. His email is hawkinshoward01@yahoo.com.


  • The Government Relations Committee serves as Reid Temple African Methodist Episcopal Church's primary advocate with state, county and federal government officials concerning the Senior Housing Community. The Committee develops the strategy to request specific areas of support needed from policymakers and identifies allies in the church community that may have relationships with key constituents.
