Rev. Dr. Lee P. WashingtonI want to share with you the vision God has given me for Reid Temple to build a senior housing community for a rising group of His people, our seniors and a permanent home for our Reid North location.

When using more detailed poverty statistics than the official government measure, more than one in seven seniors are identified as living in poverty, with a disproportionate number being women and people of color. A Reid T-emple senior housing community will provide affordable housing for the most vulnerable among us and provide a place where the people of God can spend their final years in dignity.

We know also that our current facility in Silver Spring has already exceeded its capacity. It's time to build more permanent facilities that meets the need of this growing community of believers.

I need your help in accomplishing this great victory of faith. I want to personally share my vision with you and the road map for accomplishing all that God has shown me.

Let me be clear, this roadmap is not an approach to fund raising. Using a biblically based approach, this roadmap will take us on a spiritual journey that will take us to a higher level of worship. As you know, the greater involvement of saints in worship, the greater the worship experience.

With you by my side, I know we will succeed in building the senior housing community. I know because many of you were with me when we embarked on the building of the Glenn Dale campus and establishment of Reid Temple North. We have been down this road before. We know what success looks like. We have done this before and together, we will achieve God's vision for the building of a facility for His people. Once again, we will Have Faith in God!!

Rev. Matthew L. WatleyReid North entered into a lease which expires in 2017. The interior was renovated before moving into the space. Currently, there are three concurrent worship services on Sunday, Re mix - a youth gathering on Saturdays and bible study on Tuesday evenings.

The current location has greatly increased the ability of the Silver Spring campus to hold functions on site. However it has attracted so many members that it has outgrown its capacity to where the congregation has to meet outside of the sanctuary in overflow rooms.

The Campaign will allow us the opportunity to find, own, and develop permanent space that can comfortably accommodate the over capacity congregation
